Hummingbird fish find doesnt work well

Hello,

I have a hummingbird fish finder on my boat with a transducer mounted on the transom....

The depths that it is giving are not accurate at all....

I can see the bottom and the finder will say 30 feet...
the lake i go in is only 25 feet max...

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

5' off ain't bad for a Huminbird
Seriously check you location & set up as per the instructions

the trasducer is parallel to the bottom.... the model is a hummingbird 100sx
like this....
I do find out the the screen was on "simulation" mode, so it was just like it was on the store shelf.... but i changed it, and it works alittle better now... I still want to upgrade i think soon.
