Just got a new Hummingbird Helix 5 Chirp SI GPS fish finder to replace an old Garmin that was on the boat that I just recently bought. The boat already has a speed sensor mounted on the hull for the Garmin. Does anyone know if that speed sensor will work with the Hummingbird? I'm going to change the transducer and install the new one that came with the Hummingbird. What I don't know is whether or not the speed sensors are a universal kind of thing or if they are unit specific. Thanks and happy fishing.
