Hurricane (SD 176) 1995 Water in compartment

Recently bought a used 1995 Hurricane 17ft. (Model SD176) and have had trouble with water collecting in the compartment located in the middle of the floor. It has holes built into the hatch which would let water go in but I am not sure where this water is able to escape if at all. Can someone give me any advice as to how to get rid of this water aside from bailing it out! This area obviously does not connect with the bilge area.

My 97 SD176 has an opening at the rear of the ski compartment that empties into the bilge. Doesn't help you though.
