I were planing to buy a steel prop for my engine. Then i came over an aluminium propeller, "Hustler high performence", that claimed they could be compared to a steel prop when it came to top speed. Is this correct? Anyone with experience using this prop?

I think you are talking about the turning point props... and yes, in the hustler anf legacy series, they use the exact castings for their aluminum, as they do for their high performance SS props.

If it is Turning Point your talking about, then I'd say yes to the comparison.
Couldn't be happier with my Turning Point, but all boats, set-ups etc are usually different.

Re: Hustler high performance prop

The Turning Point Hustler alum that I purchased from iboats has high rake blades, cupping, porting holes and all that high performance stuff that you can get on a lot of SS props, with a very reasonable price tag ($99 on sale as I recall).

What it didn't have were thin blades like my SS props have and all the big guns on here will tell you that thickness matters when performance is an issue and for my application, it is.

The prop had a different dia and pitch so I can't compare it's performance to my SS props. Sorry. But for the money, for the guy who just wants a prop and all, it is a great prop at a great price. My 2c.
