Are you having trouble planing off or staying on plane at lower speeds?? They do work at getting you on plane quicker and keeping you there at lower speeds, may cause a slight drag on plane. I use them on mine.

I am not having trouble just interested if they actually gave you a performance increase. Do they hurt the top end or help it?

It's been my experience that unless your boat is severely underpowered, they are useless. I used to drive a ski boat for a job (great job, huh?) and my employer decided to put one on the motor, a 90 hp. It helped the boat plane a bit faster, but that was it; and, I didn't like the way it changed the boat's handling at high speeds. If those stabilizers really did any good, the manufacturers would build them that way to start with.
