Re: Hydrofoil's are they any good
I thank you all!!! i do actually exist, but have been out of work on disability and did not have access to my email which contained my password, anyway, I still got the same dam problems!!!! I had the motor checked out by my local merc dealer for X amount of $$$(not cheap) I had the dam boat running up to 40mph with a 23p stainless prop (GPS mph)!all of a sudden while running across some bay flats in southern NJ I just lost power??
I didn't run a-ground or anything, I just lost power! so I putted home about 35-35 miles doing about 10 mph...when I got home I replaced my throttle assembly because it was old and all messed up and readjusted the throttle cable in the motor!!! Now the boat doesn't get out of its own way!! i ran the boat with the motor cover off and the throttle is fine and opening up the carbs completly, but its still dogging it. So I changed the prop down from the 23pitch to a 21pitch and got up to 27 mph. How did I reach 40mp with my 23 pitch prop one day and only 25mph with the same prop I am going f---ing nuts trying to figure this out. I am not sure if its somthing in the motor intake slowing it down somehow, because its not pissing that much water??? or is it the dam prop??? do i have to go down to a 19PITCH???? N aLSO I HAVE A LOW WATER INTAKE WHERE THE INTAKE IS IN THE KNOSE OF THE LOWER UNIT!! also the motor was checked for compression and the plugs, water pump and impeller have all been changed and the thermostats... please HELP i WILL CHECK THE POSTS EVERYDAY FOR ANY REPLIES....
NICK A
