I was thinking of putting hydrofoils on my outboard as I have had people say they do help.
What are peoples experiences with them, are they worth the money.
Cheers

Re: hydrofoils

I think they do help, particularly if your boat is a little stern heavy or slightly underpowered. I have an Edge on a V-4 OMC and it will plane the boat at lower speeds and gives a better holeshot. I don't think they will help if your boat/motor combination is too far out of whack, though. Do a search on "hydrofoils" and you'll get a long list of ideas on this subject.

I think they're worth it. I do alot of wakeboarding behind my boat. So it's usually loaded down with weight. The hydrofoil helped the boat plane at a lot slower speed. It did kill the top end by about 8mph. The S.E.300 by Sport Marine was the one I bought.
