I am confused and have a question?

I recently purchased a 12 foot aluminum fishing boat to play around with this summer. The guy I bought it from stated it was a 1967 Smoker Craft, but I am now having my doubts, in looking at the older smoker crafts the style does not seem the same, and when the title arrived, it states 1960 with the name of the manufacture as MRR and a HIN of A4036. There is no HIN plate on the boat. Has anyone heard of a manufacture by this name or initials? I didn't pay much for it and got a recently serviced Mercury 9.9 with it, that runs very good. I only paid $300, figured I could get that much for just the motor.

But I am curious about the boats manufacture.

I'm not sure about the manufacturer but I know here in Wisconsin when you title an older boat that didn't come with a hin they make one up and assign it to the boat so the hin might not be any help if it's the same in your state.

Based on this information and the year, it is a Mirrocraft.

Northport is the parent company of Mirrocraft. What the state listed as the HIN number is actually the model number of the boat, based on looks and measurements of the boat I have it is a predecessor of their utility V series.
