Re: I am looking for the wiring diagram or my running lights.
Okay, as I just finished replacing the switches on the 1976 Mark Twain last weekend, I'll assume they're pretty much identical. You should have probably posted this in the electrical section, but the mods can move it if they wish. The Mark Twain factory wiring used a DPDT switch had two short jumper wires to transfer power from the NAV light to the anchor light which the position of the switch was in "NAV", and a could of terminal adapters - it was fairly complicated. The easiest way to wire the lights is to have the stern light on the bottom left terminal (when looking at the back of the switch), the NAV light on the top left terminal, and the 12V from the fuse block to the middle-left terminal. This should make the switch operational, BUT in order to have the stern light remain on when you activate the NAV light (required by regulations), you need to install a single jumper from the NAV light terminal to the stern light terminal with a diode. The diode, which can be purchased from radio shack for $1 acts as a switch that only turns on when it senses voltage from the NAV terminal, which then activates the stern light.
