My bow and cockpit factory covers are showing their age at 17 years old... I already know that a replacement will be $800-1K from this local shop that does all the covers around here. a full snap on custom Mooring cover will be about the same which I think I want next time to keep the boat dry and protect the topside more from the sun.
How good do the Semi-Custom covers from here fit? What is the experience been for others? I see the Sharkskin + cover for my model is going for $282 and the Supreme SD Version is $338 which is signifigantly less $$. My thoughts are to have the local shop put in cleat cut-outs and perhaps put some snaps in the perimiter along with (perhaps) making cutouts so I can keep my bimini in the stored position. I'm rather positive I can be complete that way for under $600...

Mostly concerned about fit and material suggestions any experience?
Thanks,

Best thing to do is get a custom cover made in Sunbrella or Topgun. I prefer Sunbrella.

I thought you were a tarp guy?

In the winter it's a substitute for shrink wrap when done right- Not when in the water at the slip which is what I need.
Cost of canvas work seems to have gone up. My 19' boat I had the bow + cockpit cover done for under $700 in 2010.

I agree with bruceb58 custom sunbrella is the way to go. Shop around different upholstery shops. If you live in the city call around smaller towns near you to see if you can get a better deal.
