Re: I can't Find my seal

Maybe this would work better?

That is exactly like mine. I just can't get the part number to cross reference...to anything I can find. I got something close but he sure squealed when I shoved him in the hub. I think the fit was too tight...the rubber mallet helped get him in, and the squealing.

Ok enough of that...he is a cute little seal. I'd say my seal that I found should work then. Its not quite the same but I think it will be close enough. Man $26 for the set, that seems absurd. What can ya do.

Re: I can't Find my seal

I believe its a "National" seal and the number is 410190. I'm not totally sure it will work, I have just done some real light test fittings but I think it should work. We'll see!

Thanks for the help!

Re: I can't Find my seal

Here is another one for ya...might as well not start a new thread. I'm looking to replace the tires as well. The only thing I can find on the tire is b78-135t load range c.

I dont see that as being a standard size, i did a web search and didn't really come up with anything.

My boat probably under 1000 pounds but the trailer is rated for more then that.

Oh man. The 5 is a S. Its B78-13ST. Which from what I read means B78 -13ST = ST175/80D-13.

Does this make sense?

That seal is for a 1.5 inch shaft . Doesnt yer shaft have a shoulder on it , that would make it much bigger in dia? Now we really need a picture...:D

Start a new thread on the tires- It will just get buried here in seal-talk.....:D

Re: I can't Find my seal

I'll take a photo when I get home but yeah, the shoulder of the shaft is only 1 1/2" that is where I was running into problems. The normal seal for that style hub is a larger inside diameter so it didn't hit anywhere on my shaft.

I'm going to "dry fit" the entire thing back together tonight with the old seal and bearings...just to see where things hit exactly and then I'll have a much better idea of what is going on. I'll take a photo first, so you can see what I mean.

Re: I can't Find my seal

Alright, here is a photo of the axle. The first step is 1" the second is 1 3/8" and the last is just about 1 1/2"

That seal seams to be working properly. I got it all back together and got some new tires put on. Now I just have to figure out why the left tail light isn't working.
Thanks for the help!!!

No photo, but glad you got er done.

Lights? I usually attribute that to ground gremlins. Good luck chasing them.
