Thanks to all who replied; I appreciate your help. I emailed Four Winns a couple days ago to ask if they could tell me what other models may have used the same windshield. It's been two days and they haven't replied but maybe they will soon. I've no doubt that the Four Winns factory is operating on reduced staff.

The Taylor Made guy told me that they could custom make a windshield from scratch but the price would probably be prohibitive. I do have insurance and they paid me $4k but I spent that on the new boat :D Well, not really "new"; it's a 2007 with only 27 hrs. Anyway I could try to auction the 4W as is but I really think I'd do better to get it fixed and sell it. It's been a great boat and I'd like to see it go to a good home. It's sort of like having to get rid of a mid-life pet.

You are correct they are on a reduced staff...however, they are also now doing all the customer service out of the Cadillac, MI plant for both Four Winns and Wellcraft...that is part of the Genmar consolidation/bankruptcy.

I have actually been pleasently surprised with two seperate requests that I put in via the online "contact us" form that sends an e-mail. I recieved relatively prompt responses in both cases with exactly the information I requested. In both cases I didn't expect it...but I got an e-mail response a couple days after I sent the request. If you don't hear anything via e-mail soon I would give them a call.

I have no idea what a Horizon looks like but there is a Larson windshield for sale on Craigslist in South Lake Tahoe. Says it is for a 1999 22ft.

I've had similar poor luck getting OEM information from some manufacturers. The front passenger seat on my SeaRay was damaged by the previous owner's kid jumping on it from a pier. It was about a five foot drop into the boat from the dock and when he landed it busted the base practically off the pedestal.

Absolutley zero response from SeaRay to my enquiries on how I might order another...Then I took the seat apart and found the name of the manufacturer of the seat stamped inside. Similarly no response to messages left at that company.

I guess the onesie and twosie orders don't rate the effort...

I would carefully study boats of similar size. You might just find something real close for not a lot of money at a salvage place.

Those kind of lift switches are criminal. Someone could really get hurt. Fully sprung momentary types should be an electrical code requirement on that kind of equipment. My marine railway switch snaps back to off as soon as you let go.
