I feel like I'm back in school. My 40 year old daughter is taking classes to complete her education degree. She left college with just a few classes to complete. One course that she wants my opinion of is English Composition. She e-mails her work to me and I critique it, looking for spelling and grammatical errors. That process sure shakes up the cobwebs in this old brain.

My older son,32 years old, has just started over the road truck driving. I assist him in route planning by discovering where truck stops and rest areas are located. He has educated me by teaching me about driving hour regulation coupled with his mandatory rest times. By calculating those hourly requirements, I can plan on where he should stop for his rest period. I gave him a Garmin nuvi GPS unit for his birthday specific for trucks and that has greatly improved his route planning. I'm sure most of us can read a map and drive from Chicago to Houston. Once in Houston, how would we locate 1515 Main Street if we are unfamiliar with the area? The GPS coupled with MapQuest and Truckmiles.com has been a great asset.

I guess I am now becoming an English writing professional truck driver!!!

I went back to school to teach after 25 yrs in industry, and I am always learning something new, sometimes intentionally.
