I got the picture in the top corner next to my name and now my shareaproject link is at the bottom of my posts. Ive been a daily user here for about 3 years and i just now did all that stuff. Ive been to lazy in the past to try to figure it out. Hehehe. Anyway Hello all. Since Im in dockside chat i figure id just add something else, there is no such thing as the ozone layer. And where is the global warming when its unseasionably cold? Actually id like to add a lot of things but dont want to start no trouble. ill just stop there.

No Global warming? Where's the snow in Wisconsin in the winter? Fellow Cheeseheads have to head way way way up north and to Upper Michigan to use their snowmobiles anymore. Around here, they spend three times as much time marking snowmoble trails as using them. Last year they were able to use them a lot more than in recent years, though. There were almost 14 days of open trails this year all added up. For the last decade and a half it's ranged from 3 to 7. I wonder why they even bother. :(

Colder, dryer air doesn't hold as much moisture as warmer, moist air for the winter precipitation known as snow. The colder air loses its snow sooner. That is why, for example, people living in the snow belt of NY get more lake effect snow from Lake Ontario and Lake Erie than I do to the south of the region. My region which is about 100 miles south of Lake Ontario gets most of its snow toward Spring time when the moist warmer air from down south moves north to meeet the frigid air from the north.

Okay, so where's the ICE? Many of Wisconsin's lakes aren't freezing to safe thicknesses anymore either. I'm not even relating the overwhelming scientific evidence that some of the people choose to ignore. I'm speaking from personal observation as a lifelong Cheesehead. It's not that we're not getting snow, it's that it's melting-off rather than collecting. About the only places left with winter-long snowcover around here are the areas way up north being continually replentished with lake-effect snow.

(BTW, when I say some of the people, it's in reference those that they can fool all of the time. ;))

Now see what you've gone and done, drewmitch44? ;)

Nice avatar!!!!

Anyone with at least one functioning brain cell knows that global warming and global cooling are a natural cycle that the earth goes through. For the rest..well..what can I say.

Remember, we just came out of a little ice age from the 60's and 70's. It will cycle back. I noticed my local rivers didn't freeze until Feb this year. It usually happens in January.
Used to be sleds, skates, and toboggans in the winter with stores with big displays. Not any more. All the skating is down indoors now.

I've lived in Texas for 12 years and this is the coolest summer I've seen by far.

By the way, the lakes opened back up, so I'll see ya out there soon as I get my boat here from Denver.

Yep, glaciers have been shrinking and expanding for millions of years, and you have just a tiny fraction of that in your photos. Unless you can produce photos for the last......oh, 5 million years, then taking a snapshot of a glacier at a given point in time proves nothing.

Case in point....if you would have taken a snapshot of the Saints in 2006 you'd say they were awesome! If you look in 2005 or 2007, you'd think they sucked.

Re: I figured out how to make a aviator

There are natural climate changes occurring all around us. And they have been before man was around.

There are less cirrus (high-alt whispy clouds) now than there was 2 years ago. Why? The earth releases CO2 from the atmosphere. It goes off into space. Natural cooling cycle for the earth.

In ten years it'll get colder and we'll all be panicking about farmers fields being overrun with snow in April or May.

And who here isn't KIND OF hoping California goes underwater :) Would make a great dive site. :)
