My phone just rang and it was Joe calling. I immediately thought something was wrong. He tells me that "he forgot to show me the most important thing on the boat." I asked what? He said that "when he hits the switch that the drive goes up and down." I told him that I was in a hurry and just didnt think about it. He said He wanted to call me and tell me because he had an issue with it a couple of years ago and it was the only electrical troubleshooting he had ever done on a boat and he fixed it himself. (Joe is 91y/o) He also assured me that all the lights on the boat work and he will show me when I go and pick it up.
I told him that is great that all that stuff works but if it didn't its no big deal because I have to rip it all out of there anyways. It sounded like he got upset and asked "why?" I told him that I needed to replace the transom and the deck. He said "Oh you really are gonna replace all that stuff?" I said ya. He said(laughing) "I thought you were just BSing me trying to get me to lower the price". I said I tried that and it didnt work. He said" I lowered the price 200 dollars for ya because when it was running it was idling to high and I couldnt get it to come down to where it was supposed to be." I never noticed...:redface:
