Welcome ,please read the stickies at the top of the page and get us as much info as possible.
I can tell you we will be looking for rpm and speed. A tinytach for rpm will work and
a gps for speed.In the mean time as much info as possible.

Power...Speed.
Two different things:
Power=lower pitch,normally quicker planing,higher rpm...maybe slower speed(depends;rpm)
Speed=higher pitch,normally alittle slower planing,lower rpm
A higher pitch might give you more speed,if you have the proper rpms.
Not running your outboard at the proper rpms will hurt it,weither it's higher or lower,rpm.
Think of it like a bicycle.
Your in 1st gear(9 pitch) going up a gradual hill...no problem(good rpm).
Then throw it in a higher gear,say 5th(11 pitch)...it's harder on your legs/heart(motor),might not be able to do it for along time(to low rpm WOT).
Probably just as easy to read the above post.

The first 3 lines of the prop forum are Stickys.There are often stickys at the top of a forum
to help visitors understand better what they need to know about posting for the best results.
