After 4 months of constant research and work to raise the funds i have bought a boat.
It?s a 23 foot sea fox 230 walk around.
I was planning to buy a bow rider but after finding this at the price (?3500) it was i fell in love with it.
The windscreen and engine have been stolen hence the price.
Now the expensive bit... i need an engine.
My mum hates noise and a 2 stroke all the time would drive her crazy... before anyone assumes it I?m living with my mum as I?m 15?
I want to be able to cruise around 30 knots and be able to do wakeboarding tubing etc.
The budget... around ?3000.
The only engine you can get for that money appears to be an old 2 stroke and i need around 200hp (apparently). I know places where i can get carb 200hp 2 strokes for around ?2000.
Now for the noise bit... i was thinking of getting 2 smaller engines around 5-10hp mounted either side of the 200hp. the smaller engines could then be run on their own to get a cruising speed of (hopefully) 5-6 knots and I?m thinking that would save a lot of fuel on days out with the family just slowly cruising around the coast (and it would be quiet)
Hopefully I?ve explained the problem and what do you guys think of the boat and the idea of 3 engines?
Thanks in advance for your time
