Ayuh,... The only pop-up at iboats is the GMC/ Chevy truck ad when ya 1st come in...
Close it once, 'n it's gone for the day...

The only one I get is the Chevy one right at the beginning on Google Chrome. Once I close it, I am good, probably not the right forum for this thread though.

I understand completely. I get tired of newbies coming on the forum for all kinds of free information and answers to fix their problems, and then cry about a single popup ad, or how things aren't as they like it.
You do understand that advertising is how iboats can afford to put this free FOR YOU forum online.

Moving to correct forum .................. man I get tired of moving newbie posts to the correct forum

I agree that it is a terrible imposition to take 1.357 seconds to close our one pop-up.

But, we can fix that.

Here's the deal: We take the Chebby ad away and you donate the amount that GM was contributing to operation of this boating board to iboats. Be sure to leave space for several zeros when you start writing the check.

See? We are interested in happy members.

Things I have had "Just about enough of", in order of importance to me...

#1 Child abuse
#2 Animal abuse
#3 World hunger, and war.
#4 Being a single income to my household, living paycheck to paycheck.
#5 Commuting 82 miles a day on congested MA highways, in any kind of weather.
#6 Commuting in a '97 Escort with no A/C, no 3rd gear (manual trans), and bad body rot.

Well I can tell you from experience, it sure ain't going to happen with pop ups!



Just to add, I have not seen a pop up ever on this website, I have seen the Chevy ad, and with the help of others, installed the right software, and no longer see it..

Even with the Chevy ad, I never got mad, the only time I was frustrated was when it continued to lock up my browser, other than that, things are good.

As others have said, if you don't like it, then this is probably not the place for you to get the great quality in depth information you require and guess what...

IT IS all free!
