The problem that I am experencing is at idle, it won't, really what is does is loads up after 3 to 5 mins of idling, runs great at WOT, stop and fish then WOT to the next spot great, really only haunts me at the loading ramp, so I have ordered the kits to clean them out, I was thinking that I could use carb cleaner and try and clean out the idle and intermediate circuits while still on the motor? I understand that there is not any oil in the carb cleaners so running the engine would be crazy. Any suggestions for a band-aid fix?
By the way it is a 88 GT 200 on premixed fuel as of last weekend...:D

I figured that would be the best and least painful thing to do, but its one of those deals where you look outside and see it, and think let's go fishing, no I can't needs fixed, ordered parts now wait, don't want to, think of band-aid.
Thanks for your time, I'll just pout around the house til the kits show up...:(

UPDATE...

Runs like a new boat, the cleaning and installing new gaskets is about the most simple task that I have came across to date.

I actually had to problems, the idle was set to low to start with, the carb kits got me back to idling without dying, the idle after cold start was only 500 to 550 rpms. Bumped that up to 750 to 800 and things are alot smoother.

Not sure about one thing, we did the carbs and run it on the hose Friday night, yesterday we took it to the river, about a 15 minute drive; when I pulled the cover off the carbs (I'm guessing) had leaked a pool of gas. Put the boat on the water set the idle up, run the boat about 20 minutes, loaded back up and pulled it home, checked for that pool of gas, not there, all dry.
Any ideals???
