Re: I hope they tracked the spammer!

I remember spam(the turkey version) from my army days.We used to strap it to the exhaust pipe of our apc and let it cook while we were on our way.It tasted nice after a week in the field.Nobody wanted to touch it when back on base.

SPAM = Shoulder Pork and Ham

Produced by Hormel in Austin, Minnesota. Yes, they have a Spam Museum there. And their annual civic festival is the Spam Fest.

I went to high school about 40 miles from there.

Thought it SPiced hAM..
But whatever.
Heres a good one...
Monthy Python : "Flying Circus", Spam
Scene: A cafe. One table is occupied by a group of Vikings with horned helmets on. A man and his wife enter.
Man (Eric Idle): You sit here, dear.
Wife (Graham Chapman in drag): All right.
Man (to Waitress): Morning!
Waitress (Terry Jones, in drag as a bit of a rat-bag) : Morning!
Man : Well, what've you got?
Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam;
Vikings (starting to chant): Spam spam spam spam...
Waitress: ...spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam...
Vikings (singing): Spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam!
Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor au Crevette with a Mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.
Wife: Have you got anything without spam?
Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY spam!
Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got spam in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it?
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam (crescendo through next few lines)
Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up! (Vikings stop) Bloody Vikings! You can't have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam.
Wife (shrieks): I don't like spam!
Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!
Vikings (singing): Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!! Baked beans are off.
Man: Well could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then?
Waitress: You mean spam spam spam spam spam spam... (but it is too late and the Vikings drown her words)
Vikings (singing elaborately): Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam. Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Spam spam spam spam!

As an experienced member of Uncle Sam's Travel Club spam was a welcomed c rat at times. It is still good on a cold day in the woods when it is heated, tolerable when it is not. Fried and with eggs in the morning is the best for me!

Man, I musta missed all the fun. :(

Ever hear of scam baiting? Now that looks like fun.

What I want to know is who actually eats Spam! I know y'all are out there somewhere! I really think the stuff is actually dyed Soylent Green ... yop, that's it .... its ........ PEOPLE!

My wife eats spam, and actually, it's not half bad... unfortuneately that's only because it's 80% bad. :D

I usually feed it to the chickens whenever she opens a can of it.

I'm sending PETA after you for chicken abuse ...... or would that be the sex crimes unit ..... I don't know, I'm confused!

PS: I should shut up because I just bought three cases of "civilian MREs" to replace some real MREs that I had left over from Katrina. I do believe in keeping all of my hurricane plan items up to date but ... well ... I guess I am admitting to being willing to eat plastic food at times if necessary!

LOL, Peta would have a field day with me. How dare I force hens to lay eggs? And who the hell am I to eat those eggs?!? Unborn baby chick killer!!! (well, unborn and unfertilized too. Got no roos, and knowing peta, that's another offense) The hens love spam by the way, almost as much as they like the hand-fed grapes. You know, come to think of it, I have some spoiled chickens. :D

You'd be better off stocking up on candy bars... or better yet, power bars... more calories, more nutrition, smaller package, perfect for a disaster. Sure they don't taste any better, but still. :D
