Hi all! I've been lurking around this board for a while now searching and reading the threads on 2 vs 4 strokes. I've found tons of useful information. My problem is that I have to make a choice on either a Yamaha 115 4 stroke or a Evinrude DI 115 2 stroke. This motor will go on a 2003 Lund 17' pro sport that will be used for fishing and skiing. I would really like to give the business to Bombardier because I believe that they have solved all the problems around the FICHT. The only problem is that I know that Bombardier is going to sell off its recreational division and that includes Johnson & Evinrude outboards. My question is that will the new owners be as passionate to make the best outboards on the water? Also will they support the ones they did not sell? One other thing that I haven't been able to find is any information on how well the DI 2 strokes troll, will they choke up? What does the Yamaha use to drive the camshafts belt or chain? Do the valves need to be adjusted and at what intervals?<br />Any help would be very much appreciated
