Rowboat, one of the old (own 3, and a old 5) 3HP "Weedless" coming out the shed..and the way I started out. Fun then, still fun now. Just want water and sun.
Pension says .."thin out".
Little Dragboat burns 10 gallons a 2 hour ride..(figure $40)
20 footer 125hp, with 5 kicker Honda?..lot more "slow Honda" fer sure this year. Don't really go anywhere anyway...just "Bikini" watching, and my Golden Retriever a chick magnet
The 90 gallon "Barge" biggie? For sale now. Does the same thing as any other boat I own, sitting in the HOA Marina slip, with me in it, sling shotting seagulls with BB's, and me and the dog barking back at the Seals..(and the Bikinis..stare, not "slinged"...only after there are "off"..then go "distance!" Love "elastic"!
Got 48 years "saddle time" Harleys and Sportbikes too. Have 8 in the stable.
Sorry..the idiots and cellphones, 'Tailgaters" Red light Cams, and Speed Cam's..just to trudge though to get to the mountains...well...aint fun no more.
Sad too. Still got it, and damn good at it...and only hitting 58.
Love it when I get pulled over on the 150HP (rear wheeled Dyno) Sportbike going way too fast on the rural mountains..ranger (after a LONG time chasing me..(hell, I was 2 miles ahead before he (or SHE) hit the lights out the dirt and a "catch up)"
Then I finally pull over, dump the full face helmet, mostly bald gray hair shows, and a solid gray beard halfway down my chest.
The jaw drop's on the young half my size punk or, more than once..female.
"Do you know how fast you were going back there?"
Yep....probably running a good 130-to 150 ...maybe more.
"You know you can't do that!"
"Well, I just did, and been doing since you were just a wrong direction of "Daddys blood"..with mom"
I'm ALWAYS "real"...have cops as friends. And never got a ticket for the real WAY over limit. Always knocked down to 20 over...(HA!..gotta do the "money" thing)
Then we talk experience and the bike.
Oh yeah...she said..."please be careful....I don't worry about you, but the "tourist wander and cross the centerline"
Walked away. Happened more than once..just prove yerself, and be "you". if ya got it to prove.
Anyway, long as I'm "wet", and the flowing beard is in the "wind"...gotta do what ya gotta do....gas price be damned...aint ready for the porch "rocker" just yet..
