The two above are made in Invercargill ,which is my home town ....I live in Thornbury now , about 30km west-ish of Invers.
Another option here if to buy

like an Ikea , flat pack aluminium boats that are all pre cut and rolled and all you gotta do is weld em up and fit them out . Sounds easy but unless your well clued up of fabbing and welding aluminium its likely to turn to

....but its a way of getting a good boat if your able to build it coz apart from the initial outlay for the kit and the welder (if you dont already have one ) you can build it as the spare cash comes to hand without needing finance.
I have seen some really nicely finished ones ....and some not so much .
Personally I dont like ally boats and ,as fussy as it may seem its only the noise they make as waves and ripples contact the hull while parked up fishing ....like sitting in a friggin wind chime . Im a fibreglass man all the way .
