I got my driveway paved in August 2021. And finally got it seal coated all these years later.
I'd actually planned on "doing it myself" with the help of the boy, but after calculating the material and tool costs, plus what I'd have to pay helpers, it was actually a little cheaper to just let a pro do the job. And the guy who owns the company is 3rd generation. Definitely a pro. They do sealant, hot asphalt and other stuff. He told me they go through 50,000 gallons of sealant a month!
Overall, I'm very happy with the results and gave them a 5 star review.
The whole project took just under two hours and the bulk of the time was cleaning the driveway, probably about an hour for that. The had a big honkin' blower and that thing could really move some stuff! The hose end had to be 4 or 5 inches in diameter.
Blower and broom time.

The hose from the truck has the sealant and it's applied along the edges, then smoothed out.

Then the sealant is sprayed down.

First coat down.

After allowing the first coat to dry for 30-40 minutes, it was time for the second coat.

Almost over.

And all done!

We let it dry for two days before driving on it and that worked fine.
