I miss. . .

Dang, getting old sux!<br /><br />I miss being able to lift things over 50#. <br /><br />I miss being able to eat fries and chips. <br /><br />I miss being able to have a smoke after dinner without being thrown out of the joint beseiged by anti smokers. Heck, I miss being able to smoke. <br /><br />I miss sausage and eggs and fries for breakfast. <br /><br />I miss weighing 165lb and being able to eat all of anything I wanted. <br /><br />I miss romance. <br /><br />I miss having young people around the house. <br /><br />I miss teaching. <br /><br />But I don't miss paying full rate at hotels. <br /><br />I don't miss scraping to get the bills paid. <br /><br />I don't miss commuting 120 miles twice a day. <br /><br />I don't miss the Cold War <br />I don't miss getting up at dark oclock and getting home at dark oclock. <br /><br />I don't miss having fine gentlemen and sportsmen to share ideas with. . . friends.. .I have them here. <br /><br />

The grass is always greener . . . there are things that I know I envy about your life. I am gonna second what Bob_VT said, you're definitely still a fine teacher. You're teaching how to live a fine life.

I miss remembering all the stuff that I have forgotten, but I do not recall what any of that was. I'm not really to sure I ever remembered anything at all though. I don't remember remembering, but then on the other hand I do not remember forgetting. So maybe I never really forgot anything at all...I just don't remember.<br /><br />
