It is probably to your advantage to wait until iBoats has the replacement windshield project complete. Althoug the windshield page does not list the classic style windshields, iBoats may be able to work something out with Taylor Made resulting in a lower price. Maybe. Will have to wait and see.<br /><br />BTW those prices are from last year. When I spoke to TM they indicate that shipping would run about $100. So my $290 windshield would run me close to $400. That was too rich for me with all the other expenses the boat had.<br /><br />Mark.

Mark42,<br />Have any idea how Taylor Made windshields compare to the WaterBonnet brand windshields? Mine has a WaterBonnet. I was planning to have a local plastics shop do one in lexan but would rather buy a bolt on. <br /><br />EDITED...never mind. I looked at the Taylor sizes and they aren't wide enough. My shield is 80" wide. <br /><br />WaterBonnet is still around and about 40 miles from me. I thought they would have been long gone since 1965 but NOT. Anyway, I have a call into them for info. <br /><br />Bill P.

We gonna see some photos of that Comet?? Trust me, It can't look worse than mine.<br />It was a "hot tub" for the local wildlife before I got it.I swear I saw nightcrawlers doing the backstroke in there before I drained it :D <br />You need a digital camera? I've got at least three I can't figure out.. <br />Need a reference,Dude. Cough up the photos..

Geeky's getting crabby better cough up a picture soon. :D Besides I wanna see too. <br /><br />I would do as mark42 says and wait for iBoats to get some windshilds in.

I am going to try to get u guys pics very soon, hopefully by this weekend. Been very busy putting engine in my jeep and redo home airconditioner. I will soon though.

Pix Look Fine! Boat looks in much better shape than mine did.Transom OK? I think you've got yourself a keeper.Keep everybody posted on your progress.I'll have some new pix posted soon of my little traveler.Gotta figure out how to keep that fiberglass from ending up in my bed,truck seat, toilet seat, etc. :D . Those Tyvek suits rip too quick.

Finished first scrubbing of hull with comet. looks pretty good. I live in Fla with lots of boat builders around and a few have said that they could possibly build a wind shield for a good price. Transon is pretty good, need to do some cosmetic fiberglass work and paint trason plate.<br />will get some more pics soon.
