I just started wakeboarding and I have been using my friends SUB V 138, but I want to gt my own board so I don't have to keep using his. I don't want to get a beginner board though. I would like to get a good intermediate board and some good bindings. I am 6' 3" and weigh 185 pounds. I wear a size 13-14 but I'm really not sure of the sizerelation that tennis shoes and bindings have with feet. I don't want to exceed $500. Any advice would be very helpful. thanks

Ralbert:

A really good place I have found when I was looking for my first board...
Wake World - Board Wizard
It will give you a lot of different options for boards.

As for bindings...
In all honesty, I have not invested much into them. I have used random bindings and they have all pretty much felt the same. I may be completely wrong on that statement (I am actually pretty sure that I am:(), but as long as my feet stay in, I have been happy.

I am 5'8" - 170 lbs...
And, I am riding an older Hyperlite Belmont 141 (DNA Core) w/ Hyperlite Era bindings.

I'm a huge fan of Hyperlite boards.

If you haven't decided on one yet, check out the 3DS. It's an intermidiate/advanced board. But it's easy to ride for basic stuff. It's got enough room to grow into more advanced stuff though, as you progress in your riding skill. For your height and weight, I'd probably go with the 143cm.

Here's a 2007 model for $239. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-HYPERLITE-W...6433262QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 But if you do some shopping around, you can probably find it for around $200.

A good boot that's easy to get in and out of, but still offer solid support, is the Hyperlite Remix. The XL will fit feet from size 10-15. So a smaller footed friend can still ride, if you take someone out who doesn't have their own board.

The 2008 models are selling in my neighborhood for around $150-$180.

http://www.parkssportsman.com/ I was in the store this last week, and they had the black/white Remix boot on sale for $153. Try calling 'em and see if they've still got 'em.

You should be able to get this setup for well under your target price range. It's a good solid setup that you'll be plenty satisfied with for many summers to come.
