Just Try To Get Under The Floor Some How...look Too The Back Of The Boat More Than The Front Check Out The "stringers" Look For Rotted Wood..maybe Even Try To Stick A Screw Driver In Areas That May Look Funny...all I'm Saying Make Sure That All Of The Boat Is Sound..if Those Stringers Are Rotted They Will Break, then The Glass Will Break...

Re: I need help desperately!!!!!

Ok So I just got done working on my boat with my grandfather. We took the plugs out and replaced them. We also put a little squirt of oil in each cylinder. We cleaned the carb. Hooked it up to just a small external gas tank off a little jon boat. and cranked it for just a minute or two. I was suprised taht it cranked right up after sitting for over five years in the weather.

I now have another problem. WE are wanting to change to water pump on it just to be safe but we dont know what year the motor is. WE know it is around a 1985. The serial number is 0B210555. It is a Mariner 150 Magnum. If anyone could help us out on the year, I would really appreciate it. and also I was wondering where I could buy cheap parts from. I have to buy a new stearing cable also. One of ours is froze up and isn't cooperating.

Thanks!!!!
