i need help identifing the year of this motor

i just got this motor and the only info the guy could give me was that he thought it was a mid to late 60's motor it says sears on the motor cover and also 3.5 there is a chrome plate that has some numbers on it. they are
60940 then under that 098393 B
he also said it used to be his dads and that his dad winterized it the last time he used it......... so i need help finding out the year of this so i can get a manuel and also was wondering what i need to do to reverse the winterization on it any help would be great

Complete model number would be 582.60940, made for Sears (Canada) by Clinton. 1970. Read some of the Clinton questions on this forum.

www.discount-marine-parts.com should be helpful. just worked on a Sears Ted Williams 7.5 and couldnt have done it without this site. the site also contains a chart of every motor ever made by sears.
