I need help with this one

I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision. Thanks in advance guys. <br /><br />I've suspected for some time now that my girlfriend has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them". I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. As if she has got out of the car round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi? I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went beserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her. <br /><br />Anyway, I have never approached the subject with her. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth but last night something odd happened. She had come over to use my PC and had forgotten to sign off of AIM (AOL instant messenger) after she left. It was whilst I was going through her buddy list that I remembered I needed to pick up some oil....so....should I go fully synthetic or go with a blend?

Head on.... approach it head on. Lay the cards out and explain yourself. Don't let this fester or you both will not end up happy. This could be a minor misunderstanding or you are right.<br /><br />100% trust is valuable and you explain that.

Thanks Bob. I really appreciate the fine help and understanding I get here on this board. Now, who's gonna end up unhappy again? Me or my Johnson? I think I'll stick with the blend. Unless you know something I don't.....do you?<br /><br />Confused in Florida

Dave,<br />Most Johnsons are not particular about the lube providing the recommended amount is used. It’s more of a personal thing for the owner. As Bob_VT stated "100% trust is valuable and you explain that." If you trust “the blend” will not diminish your Johnson’s performance or life factor, then there's your answer.

If your Johnson is your main concern it is time for a change.<br /><br />You clearly don't have 100% trust, which may or may not be justified, but without it you have "a cancer" growing on the relationship. A major repair or replacement is required.

Women are like trains....you get on and ride for a while, then get off and hop on another. Quickest way to get over a girlfriend is to get a new one. You deserve better!

<br />On occasion the old units are worthy of an extensive overhaul... but it's usually because you've become personally attatched to it. It's hard to beat a brand new one when it comes right down to it.

Ever seen the tv show cheaters? I can speak from experience, if you think she's cheating she probably is. Don't let it ruin your life. Ask her straight out when she least expects it if she is having an affair. It took me three years before I was certain my wife was cheating.It sucks but don't get all depressed and start drinking or anything like that. Just move on. My new wife is the best!

That's enough right there to predict, in the immortal words of Boz Scaggs, a breakdown dead ahead. Change that oil now to avoid expensive work on the Johnson. If you feel more comfortable using blends to ease into synthetics, by all means do so. Or, in the interim you may want to consider renting - sometimes it's cheaper in the long run.
