i am tearing the floor out of my 14ft bayliner, there is no foam under the floor, it has foam! just not under the floor. the foam is in boxes in the bow benches and at the stern, one on each side. anyway, i want to fill under the floor with foam all the way (front to back) with foam and close off the opening at the bilge area that allows water to run under the floor, so that water wont contact the foam (unless i hit something and cracked the hull). the bilge area will still be there but the water would run down the deck (on top) to the bilge, but cant get under the deck to the foam. i want to do this so i can take the foam out of the bow benches and use them for storage. and still have enought foam to displace the water! as you can imagine there aint much storage space on a 14ft boat. so i want your opinion on whether its a good plan or not.
oh, the section between the seats will be coming out, to allow the water to run back.

sorry i dont have a better pic of the inside.
