I need some help!!!!

i Just bought a 1973 gt 150 with the orange and white scheme. How do i know if the boat is a Carlson? It needs a total overhaul. New transom, floor, windshield and the list goes on and on. Whats the availability of the windshields and gauges etc...? I had heard that the carlsons had a metal wrapped windshield is that the truth or is the answer some where else??

i do rebuilds on old mercs with a friend. He teaches me whats up and hes a big glastron buff. loves em. i had read somewhere that i might have a carlson but i checked it out and its not just got wrong information and my friends dad just passed away so i havnt seen him in awhile. i went to that web site and found some good stuff thanks for the link. i was lookin for an actual brocure to show me what the original interior looked like cuz i know that theres some stuff in mine that don't belong and i was lookin for like a blueprint to how some of the stuff was put together. Check to see if there was a way to mount a gastank just passed the dash in the bow to help keep the nose down just a bit on plane cuz im thinkin a 115 on a short leg with shallow water pick up is the way im gonna go with the power. just wanted to get the raw data before i get into it too much. would a dealer have the terminal hull velocity specs and things like that?
