i need yr and horse power for old johnson

i have a johnson super seahorse model number RDS-26R serial J2433696. i was hoping someone could help me find the hp and yr. also the 2 screw downs to hold the motor on the boat are froze up was wondering if there is a trick to lossening them up corroded pretty bad crazyeric@centurytel.net

how do i hook a hose up to this motor to run it when not in water. if it is something i need to buy do you know what it may cost???? thanks

I think your motors water intake is at the back and just below the anti-ventilation plate.These motors required an older style flush attachment that spring clipped to edge of the lower unit plate.Probably best to find a suitable size container for flushing engine while running.Just make sure it has enough depth to cover the water intake to just above the anti-ventilation plate.
