I decided friday while I had my boat at work where my tools are, to buff the transome area to see how bad the oxidation was, well, the one side is where my transducer cable runs down to the transducer, well I figured I should take the screws out of the little plastic things that are holding the cable to the transom so I can buff under them. This little birdie told me to remove the transducer also. No, I dont need to do that, I can be carefull not to get tangled up in the cable. Well, you guessed it, ripped the cable right out of the transducer. Thats going to cost me!!

Transom polished right up though and looks like new. All I have to do now is go down the sides. And get a new transducer!
