It was definitely just cable adjustment. If the cable moves freely and has less than 1/2 inch play you're probably gonna be ok. Try adjusting both cables.

Just make sure your're fully engaged in gear, I used a bungee on the prop and when you check the end play don't pull hard on the cable, it will disengage and you'll get bad readings. That's where I was getting screwed up!
