Is there any substitute for this Trilux 33 paint?

It's $100 a quart. There has to be some sort of competition out there that offers a paint that's a bit more realistic in price.

Anybody?

There are others need to search for outdrive antifoul paint.

My opinion, others differ
If your sanding down to bare aluminum then its critical that the paint does not have copper in it. If it has a good coating of other paint, having copper in the top coats is not so much an issue. In any case need to look at other manufactures like Pettit, but good stuff does cost more

You might call customer service at Pettit Paints, you can usually talk to an actual person and ask your questions. There are other options today, I have used Trilux 33 and agree it is very expensive. I always used the Primocon primer to isolate the aluminum from the paint which has cuprous oxide in it. Pettit has other options such as Vivid which can be used on aluminum. Check out their website....
