I put in 36.5 ounces of drive oil, supposed to be 32 oz?

Is this normal? or am I loosing drive oil into a bellow? It isn't visibly leaking anywhere (like from the exhaust or or water intake). If it's leaking into a bellow what should keep the drive oil from getting into one of the bellows?



If that's the case other than running out of drive oil is that specifically dangerous for the power package?

Thats about right for a Mercruiser Aplha. It takes a little more than a quart to fill.

Did it come up to the vent hole?

Ayuh,... Whoever told ya it takes a Quart, is Wrong...

It takes slightly over a quart...
