Recheck the float level in the carburetor, if the inlet needle wasn't replaced the inlet needle may be worn and letting too much gas flow to the intake!

Are your choke and throttle plates adjusted correctly in the carburetor?

Check the fuel line and connectors for air leaks!

Won't hurt to rebuild the fuel pump either if it hasn't been done in awhile! max!

Welcome to iboats.

The fuel pump is leaking into the lower part of the powerhead, running rich, and pouring gas out the exhaust.

A $20 fuel rebuild kit is in order. Instructions included. See your nearest Mercury dealer.
