I want more Speed!!!

Hello everyone i am new here. My question is I own a 1996 17'6" sailfish center console with a 96 yamaha 115 hp When i first got the boat i was getting 33 mph @ 6000 rpm now i changed the prop and i get 30 @ 5400 rpm does that sound right for my size boat by the way i replaced the same 19 picth prop please feel free to give me any info to get me going faster thanks

By the way, thats a great looking boat. As to more speed, that boat has a long heavy nose and with a 115, you probably should be happy with 30-35 MPH. You can buy two identical props, and they wont perform the same. Are you using aluminum or S/S?

well the first prop was the one the boat came with it was 19 p aluminum And i bought the same thing but new the old one looked real beat up
