A Florida woman called 911 three times after she paid for a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets at a Fort Piece McDonalds, and then they ran out of them.
Latreasa L. Goodman told police she called 911 after she tried to get a refund and the cashier told her all sales were final, tcpalm.com reported.
"This is an emergency, If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one,? she later told police. "This is an emergency."
The 27-year-old was offered a a McDouble, but refused it.
"I don't want a McDouble and small fry," the cashier told investigators she said, according to tcpalm.com.
Goodman was charged with misusing 911.

UNBELIEVABLE! First, the lack of customer service ... if you don't have what is ordered, you can offer the person something of equal or greater value, but if they don't want that, give them their money back.

BUT... for $3 do you try to call 911 and hog the emergency resources? Get a grip! Call corporate office, write them an email, send them a letter, but leave 911 Emergency Services out of it!

Sign of the times. In Milwaukee's inner city they call 911 for an ambulance to get a ride to the dentist. Then they go out the back door just wanting a free ride. The paramedics can't do anything for fear of a lawsuit. So it cost the city taxpayers 1000.00 for a cab ride for these low lifes. If it was just one, I wouldn't complain, but they did a TV news expose on it and now it is happening more often.

Yeah, if she is going to call 911 make it for a serious matter. The problem she should've reported is that the McDouble is an absolute McRipoff . . . They took the standard double cheeseburger off the Dollar Value Menu and replaced it with a McDouble . . . What, you say, is a McDouble? And why is it a ripoff? Well . . . folks, the new Dollar Menu McDouble "cheeseburger" has a McSingle piece of McCheese!!!! A flippin' McOutrage and somebody needs to do something about it!!!

I quit eating McDonalds burgers/chicken/fish/fries some time ago. I'd rather go to a "local" chain or independent burger joint nowadays.

I think for her punishment she should be ordered to watch the movie Super Size Me and write a report about it. That will fix her Mcwagon and alter her Mcway of life!

Re: I Want my McNuggets! LOL!

i agree she shouldnt have called 911......but she should have called the police if she wasnt getting results.......a sale isnt final if you dont have what you are selling!

ive had a lot of trouble out of mcdonalds..........i HATE mcdonalds!

you ask for bar-b-que sauce and they may give you some and maybe not...one time we got food for a bunch of people and had like 5-10 piece chicken nuggets----yep they gave us 3 packages of bar-b-que sauce.......i told my wife one time to get a big handful for when they forget.......she did and they charged her .15 apiece. i took them right back down there and got my money back!.......no i dint call the police but i bet i busted half of them when i slammed the bag down on the counter......yeah i made my a** out of myself ...but i didnt have any problems getting my money back.

i have even went through the line on a busy morning, almost late for work, and a manager (said she knew my wife) gave me change for a 5 and all i had in my pocket was a 20........she said she would call me at ford or contact my wife after they closed the till.......yeah right not a d*** word.

i have been in contact with the owner a few times when i get tired of being cheated on food and money.......yeah its not the first time ive been short changed............now when it happens i kill the motor and let them count out the register right then........no i wont even pull forward.

i have been given all kinds of coupons and credits for free food.........i live 3 miles out of city limits and mcdonalds is on the other side of town.

now i find it easier, and a lot less stressful, to get fast food somwhere else...........long johns isnt much better where i live.

Re: I Want my McNuggets! LOL!

So,you have some kid that will work for minimum wage at a dirty ,greasy job dealing with the demanding public. I'd hate to have to manage any fast food place. The turnover, lack of work ethics, etc.

Not to defend McDonald's, but we as a public are generally a bunch of a-holes.

All sales final?? Well, the sale will be final when I get what I ordered. Until you give me what I ordered we have not finalized the sale. So give me money back and I'll be on my way.

It has never occurred to me to call 911 when I have a problem with a merchant. This 911 caller should be forced to scrub out the grease pit at McDonald's:eek::eek::mad:

oh yeah i understand they are making minimum wage, but thats no excuse...........................i was taught if its worth doing do it right...doesnt matter what you are getting payed.

there are a lot of kids working at other places that dont give me any problems.............only every once in a while at long johns and more than half the time at mcd's.

and as for working for the public.....ive sold auto parts and also checked in cars at a garage, among many other jobs where you have to deal with the public, i know how people can get.......so im only an a-hole when ive had enough......whats sad is when you have to check your food , and then double check, based solely on who is working at the window...you know the same idiot that always messes up your order every time---no matter how many times you yourself have gotten him in trouble.

as far as punishment--cleaning out a grease pit that probably hasnt been touched in years is a little excessive :D ...........just kidding about the pit thing im sure they clean it as they are supposed to...or at least i hope they do.

i blame cell phones!

Yea, I'd call 911 AND the fraud division of the local police dept AND the FBI. After all, McDonalds is participating in interstate commerce. Half the people they sell to here are out-of-state travelers.

Kid taking orders ---"Welcome to McDonalds,,May I take your order?"

My wife -----"Yes, go ahead and place my order for me, your gonna mess it up anyway. That way I won't know if my order is right or not"

Kids don't keep their minds on what they are doing. They are too busy talking about how they got kinky the night before or their tats in those private places. Having been in the Navy, these kids are worse than a sailor. Not all are that way, but I say most are. I don't manage and I don't work in them, I just repair the equipment.

People when hungry have the meanest tempers. For the most part the public is decent. They think of others and are patient to get matters solved. Going into the store ranting and raving only makes the manger NOT want to take care of you and maybe make you wait. Being courteous to them will make things go quicker and maybe with an extra promo. BTW, not pulling up as one is asked to is to accommodate the many people behind. That person apparently doesn't care how many people they can P-off. If your mad at McD's, call the hotline, don't take it out on the other customers, they didn't do nothing to you. I have witnessed fights from customer to customer for taking from their time in line.

I don't care what business it is. If there is one person with a bad attitude, it will reflect on the business. .

sorry i guess i should have been more specific.

i will pull forward to wait for food.......i will not pull forward if my order or change is wrong.

the hotline does no good........i myself and many other people i know have complained.....the only thing they do is try to appease you. the problem doesnt seem to be being addressed .....i would think mcdonalds would want an answer ,from the guy who owns this mcdonalds, as to why all these complaints are coming in and what is being done about it.

i will have to admit i am cranky when im hungry.....i just avoid going to mcdonalds at all costs...lots of other places to eat... if i eat mcdonalds it is because someone else went to get it.

I propose a month's worth of weekends washing, waxing and shining local emergency vehicles for 911 abusers.

Somebody polishes the all chrome on a firetruck just once and they'll think twice before they pick up the phone next time.:D

The Double Cheeseburger was NEVER on the dollar menu. It costs $1.19.

The Double hamburger w/cheese (now the McDouble) is $1.

We had a debate about this at work, and someone finally asked at the drive thru why we kept getting charged an extra $.19 for our double cheeseburgers. They told us that if you want to pay $1 you have to actually say "double hamburger with cheese"......the only difference being that one cheese slice. Not every McDonalds does this, but I have only found 2 that actually have "double cheesebuger" on the $1 menu.....though obviously with the McDouble they have removed that confussion.

The McDouble just doesn't taste right. I've moved my addiction to Burger King with their Angry Whopper. YUM. Hey, where did this beer belly come from? I don't drink beer!?!?

First we have this:

Then miraculously we have this:

Re: I Want my McNuggets! LOL!

My understanding on the missing cheese. To deal with the economic times, McD's also looks for a way to cut costs. To prevent the cheese distributor from being affected from this down turn is why they changed the double cheeseburger. If they had gone with only 1 slice of cheese, it would have cut the cheese distribution by almost half. Less cheese would cause the distributor to raise their prices to cover the loss which means the price of the cheeseburger would go up. This is what was explained to my by my boss.

Just don't ask for a hamburger as most teens do not know what one is. They will screw my order up while standing there watching them.....Go figure??

I do agree too many people use the ambulance and the 911 service for the wrong reasons. Many of which don't even have a family doctor. These are also the ones that complain about a 3 or 4 hour wait because of their low priority on the injured/sick list. I always go to my family doc and never had to wait over 10 min at the most.
