What is wrong with these ignorant hispanic neighbors of mine that they don't understand what QUIET means... When I snap from sleep deprivation, they'll be the first to GO!!!!!!

It's 12:30am and I would like to go to sleep now but the LOUD party is still going, more specificaly the LOUD music, and for yours truly sleep is out of the question... Every weekend there's a LOUD party till the we-we hours of the night.. 1:00am, 3:00am, they don't care... The later-the louder-the drunker... It's like living next door to Riki Recardo and the Club Ba-Ba-loo and I'm sick of it.. I ain't moving either.. Ask them several times very nice like to "please turn the music down, I would like to go to sleep".. "Oh,I No habla english"... Habla Police, Cops, Fuzz, The men in blue???.. I call the Police but it seems their deaf as well.. I wish just once they'd give the *******s a citation... Get em' in the wallet, maybe they'd get the message $$$$... The city just posted big traffic signs for the new noise ordinance right in front of my house and another about two blocks down from here that state "No unreasonably loud stereos allowed within city limits"... I know, they can't read either...

If the cops would police as their title implies instead of stuffing convenient store donuts down their throats,citizens like yourself wouldn't have to call them constantly causing undo friction between neighbors.It happens in my neighborhood too on occassion.I feel your pain. I bet it's quiet at JB's hideout tonight.

Maybe a good motor flushing at 6 AM tomorrow morning will afford some payback pleasure.

This doesn't allways werk, but try it. Video tape your mailbox durring the hight of the party, get on the cell phone and call the police and tell them that you are recording your side of the conversation,state your complaint, and wait for the law to show up, recording your mailbox,the house thier house, and the patrol car rolling up. There is all the proof the cops need to cite them for noise violation. Now, it may or may not werk. It did not werk for me, but did for my sister in Ga. What werked for 12Footer was replacing the trailer hubs at 6AM. I notified my other nieghbors that the next time the crackhouse cranked up after 11PM, they could expect to be awoken AGAIN by the sound of my compressor and an impact wrench at 6AM the following morning. The party-animal came over in his underware and I just laughed at him,nd said "party on Garth" (immitating the actor).I also explained my disappointent in his turning it down under common courtesy, and that he could expect the same in return from now on. When the nieghborhood was again rocked by a guy installing a system at 11PM on a Sunday night, he had my allready installed system cranked, and jammin to the morning news in front of his 'home'. That cured it. At least they show some consideration of the clock, which is ALL I ask. Consideration is important in a nieghborhood. When they show total disregard for you, they iether don't respect your space, don't know what consideration means,or they expect you to move so they can move thier bro in,or open a crack house. Don't let the bastiches win! I'm rooting for ya. Good luck.

Snapper, I went trough the same thing some time back. What I did was wait till early morning and went a - knockin on their door. First knock was kinda mild and soft no answer. Second knock was a little harder still no answer. By now I am gettin pissed. Third knock I hit it so hard the glass breaks out of the door!!! UH OH, now I am in trouble. Well to say the least I got the low lifes attention. When they come out I kindly tell them that they dont seem to care about anybody else around here and we have had it up to here with it and then I tell him I will pay for the broke glass. Guess what? It worked, they were so nice to me after that I could not stand it.Never heard so much as a peep after that. I did move soon after that all happened though. I feel for you as I am sure they dont own the place and could give a sh*&t less about the neighbors. Been there done that. It sucks. ----------------- Flathead

I'd like to sleep too. But the voices in my head keep telling me to polish up the fishing reels and go to the iboats site and read some more posts. You need to start your own party, about 3:00 am. Just after they fall asleep. I'd start with a couple big bass notes (m80's). You could call and have their power disconected next Friday, tell them you are moving and need the power turned off. Just don't do it from your home phone. Keep calling the cops, every half hour. Document, take to city council and raise heck. File small claims action against them for something. Inability to use your propety for intended purpose? Call INS. If they are renters, Call their landlord, at 1am, at 9am, and at his home at 7pm. Day after day after day.

Been thinking bout fire'n up my merc about 4am'ish and flush it out real good.. Maybe head out and catch a few fish, then clean the fish and deposit the refuse in their pool?...

A gator in the pool would be good too... hummmm?... I wonder if that little 4' gator still hangs around that little pond?... I think the cops might have actually shown up cause the music went away (either that or I'm gettin used to it)... The little brats are still screaming tho... Well, guess I'll try this sleep concept one more time tonight... Goodnight all...

snapperbait, I had neighbors like that once a few years back. They would be gone the biggest part of the day and come home around 6 or so and it would start. A never ending stream of cars and then the party would begin and last till 1 or 2 in the morning. As far as keeping me awake, that did not matter, but when you have little ones and they are kept awake, then that makes for a unhappy wifey pooh.

So I figured I would give them a taste of their own medicine, only in a different way. At that time in my life I was into drag racing and had a '70 Nova with a BB 454, sooooo, at about 4 or 5 in the am, I would back it out of the garage, which just so happened to be right next to their house, and just have to do a tune up on it and have to make sure the timing was right, would have to start it.

Well, I had to do this twice, but after that, no more partys, they moved.

Been quite ever since.

I had neighbors over the fence in the back yard they liked to have crazy hottub parties almost everysaturday night over the summer. My kids rooms are at the back of the house so when they wake up at 3 am im Kinda ticked. To make matters worse the wife liked to prance around her backyard naked far being from complaining I decieded to take matters into my own hand 4 am I climb the fence go to thier hot tub open the lid and put a dead carp in the tub well the next day hes over the fence asking me if I say anything I say NOOOOO but i do tell him that the latenight noise is awful as it disturbs my kids and Im sure other nieghbors he tells me he got the hint and what time do I consider late I say 12am he agrees and no problems since. Now we are friendly and sometimes I feel bad about it but it stopped the trouble

Sorry for your problems, my friends. Silver lining? This thread really helps me appreciate The Hideout even more. I sat on my porch with a rusty nail last night and listened to the coyotes' serenade and an occasional owl hoot. I had your problems when I lived in towns and cities. Tried the cops, no luck. Got in the habit of playing the 1812 Overture at WOT early Sunday mornings (200 watts). When the cops showed up to chastise me I offered them a deal. That didn't work either, but it made me feel better.

Morning Boyz... I tell ya, no rest for the weary... Party was over about 2:30... My Pops was bugging me first thing this morning looking to borrow my battery charger and would I come look at his trailblazer cause it won't start.. Ok... Dead battery... Oh goody..

I thought about flushing the merc early this morning but I thought better of it.. Next door is the best neighbor anyone could ask for... She is a nice little old lady who has cancer and is not doing to well so I'll keep quiet.. My neighbors on the other side are cool with me too even with the stink from all the paint and polyester resin and not to mention the dust from sanding and I make a little noise (tools ect)too, but not later than 8pm or so... All they want is a boat ride when I'm done and I'll keep them happy with a supply of fresh fish... I'm supprised they don't say something as well because they are even closer to the noise than I...

Oh well.. Gotta go.. Got a boat to paint today.. YUCK!!!

Snapperbait, I'm not saying this has been done before (just to cover my other neighbors butt maybe), but I had some inconsiderate neighbors that wouldn't take no for an answer also. Saturday morning about 4am, someone stole their electric meter and must have thrown it into the stream nearby. It was funny that the power company couldn't replace it until monday. They complained that their beer got warm and lost the stuff in the fridge. Didn't they every hear of ICE!

That is a good one mayfloat. Snapperbait, the taping is good also. However, if it still doesn't work. How about a 24/7 barrage of Metallica, Kid Rock, Eminem from your speakers pointed in thier direction. I'd include a revolving/flashing light pointed in thier direction, random horns, sirens and buzzers. A bucket full of dead crawdads with a fan blowing thier direction. A CB radio with a small linear that would bleed (your)subliminal messages over thier audio/ TV. Burn wet leaves when the wind is in thier direction. After a week of a heavy barrage, find a co worker/friend that speaks thier native tongue to ask them for a mutual respectful compromise.

If you really want to drive them crazy about their power, just wrap several layers of electric tape around the spades on the back side of the meter, then put it back in. Cut the wire on the tag so it can be bent to look like nothing is wrong. They will go nuts trying to see whats up.

Since I'm a guitar player (not very good) I thought of borrowing a couple of Marshall cabs and a 100 watt "plexi" head (amp) and practice my Eddie Van Halen riffs up on the roof of the house...

Couple minutes of "eruption" with the amp cranked to 11 and the gain about mid way up would do the trick, me thinks..

Snapper, Be carefull in your retaliation. You dont want this situation to escalate into an all out who can make the most noise war.Try gettin with the others in the neighborhood and all go over together and try to talk some sense into them. If that dont do it get a chicken head and do it up in their front yard like some kind of voodoo curse type deal. You know with some candles and beads and such. Guaranteed to scare the bejeezus out of em.

Boy, I hated loud neighbors too. I'm lucky now in the fact I live 20 miles out of town, and my closest neighbors are real quiet. The neighbor down the road is a convict on weapons violations, so calling attention to himself is the last thing on his mind! We have friends in the sheriff's department that come out regularly when on duty. LOL! They usually show up when the barbecue is fired up! My solution to loud neighbors: My solution to the loud partiers was to kick on my 500 watt Palomar CB equipment and talk over their stereo equipment and/or stick the microphone up to some 'alternative' music - whatever was opposite to thier current menu. Good 'ol fashioned 1930's usually got their attention quickly to their ear-deafining rap or metal. Needless to say, they tuned the music down or off very quickly. H.

Had that problem and ended up calling the cops one night. The next day when I came home from work the man wanted to confront me and threaten me. No problem I called the cops agian and in short order they came by and talked to him reminding him that he was still on probation from something and that one more call from me and he was going to jail. Of course he wanted to say I had threatend him upon which 3 out of the 4 cops spoke up and stated that in the 20 years that they have known me I have never threatened anyone. Of course it helps that I do know a lot of folks that became or are local cops.
