I want to be FINISHED!!!

I just came from my local boat show. After seeing all the new boats, I SO want to be finished with this project!

I keep working on it, but it seems like it will never end! I just want to get the thing on the water!!!!! I have next week off from work, so maybe I can actually finish it.

guess what you never finish. i never do, always something to change, improve or add. the only way you finish is when you sell it.

I've had that problem in the past, TG. Here was my solution:

Forget "finished". That's like trying to define your whole life while you are still living it.

Set short term, achievable goals like "rewire dash" or "summerize engine". That system will give you satisfaction as each one gets checked off. One day you will be surprized to discover that the next goal is "launch".

Wiser words were never spoken. When overwhelmed with a project, I have tried to teach my kids to write down all the elements of the project they can think of.

Once written down, it becomes easier to pick a starting point. Then rearrange all the others into a logical progression.

Then just start number one and check them off as you go.
