I know I want to build something small for now.

I'm like you in that this is my first fiberglass rebuild and I have to learn how to do fiberglassing. So I found a free small boat 12' 3 " and am learning on it. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=284156 I really am enjoying working on it and am excited for the day it gets done even though that is several months from now. When you figure out what boat your going to build please post a link to the plans or kit or a photo of the boat. That way we can enjoy your build along with you.

Another possible resource for information is the Gougeon Brothers, who manufacture West System Epoxy. http://www.gougeon.com/ There are many many projects and plans available. They've been big into boats and airplanes for years.
