I Want To Paint My Ugly Outdrive; What Should I use?

My outdrive is very ugly. Most of its life, before I got it, it sat in the water waiting to be used. So the outdrive has lost a bit of the paint. I would like to paint it. What should I use?

Scuff it up thoroughly, hit any bare spots with etching primer, then Moeller engine paint.
