I helped a friend out last year, usual story boat would not idle on a nice sunny Sunday morning:facepalm:. So I did a quick mod to the valve (see pic) which stayed like this for the rest of the season and worked fine.
I'm not saying this is a FIX, but an easy mod to get you out boating.
Just drill and tap a hole on the center line of the shaft, mount it back on the motor and adjust to your required RPM and tighten the locking nut and enjoy your day:joyous:.
