I'm looking at the covers Iboat offers. They are boat specific, but for my boat, 1984 23' Webbcraft Cuddy, they only offer a Semi-Custom cover. The price is very attractive @ $275, but are they any good? I assume there are no reinforcements over the windshield and other stress points, nor is there a rope through the hem, but there is a shock cord. Not sure how I would secure it when the boat is in the slip as it is all summer. Would I just be better off with a locally made custom cockpit cover?? Anyone using these semi-custom covers?

They sell them in a several grades with the cost riseing with the quality of the material

I have never seen to many great deals on localy made covers the big makers have all the patterns and buy much more material

On the other hand things that snap on like tops need to made on the boat to fit correctly

tommays

My custom fit Sharkskin cover from iboats is very good. Coulda had the Sunbrella but it gave me sticker shock.

Coulda gone to Mills, who make the OEM covers for Boston Whalers that are superb, but that was beyond sticker shock. :D

I purchased ($250.00 plus shipping) a custom cover for my 16'bass boat, right side console. I provided the measurements like they recommend and its fits fine. Its Mildew and Water Repellent and trailable....Has tie's that secure it nice and snug....

The one I was looking at was the Aqua Sheild, which has a 5 year warantee and is actually, in my opinion, a better product than the sunbrella or the Safe Harbor Poly/Cotton. There are a few local cover guys here that use the Aqua Shield exclusively and have had very good luck with them. I am just a little concerned how well the "semi-custom" iboat covers fit as compared to the "custom" covers. I know the semi-customs dont have reinforcements in them or rope in the hem........
