How about an iBoats flag with your screen name printed on it? This way everyone could put a face/boat with the name.

Put me down for one. I think it's a terriffic idea. I'd love to fly the iboats colors on my boat. I'm proud to be an iboats member and would love to show it every time i'm on the boat!!! Fireman, that's a fantastic idea... Customization with members user name... Perfect.

Lets say you set the minimum orders at 50 burgee's or its a no deal.

I know there is a desire for these, but how do you set a price for pre-order? There would have to be a sponsor for this, someone with deep pockets to take the risk and receive possible profits. As Don mentioned, only 34 calendars purchased when I'm sure many more were voting for it.

Slam dunk for under $20, but how many would actually buy based on calendar sales? Iffy at $35, and how many would purchase? And if it cost $50 or $100, it probably flops.

Great idea and wonderful thought... probably not economically sound.

Glad i bought mine. I was looking at it yesterday proudly hanging over my work bench.

Good ideal, Take a vote and advertise it on top of forums so everybody sees it. Honestly, I wouldnt buy a calender but definetly a flag with the option of putting are iboat name on it, extra $ of course. Lets kick it off with a vote.

Might help to do some leg work with them to see what a custom set up might cost. Just a thought.

Wow, I didn't realize that. I have mine too and proudly have it on my wall. I was hoping to get a new one in March. I bought some iboats stickers as well. I was hoping the flag thing would fly, pardon the pun. The calendar, I thought, was an awesome price. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all works out.

Well just for perspective (and not to be a downer) I would not buy the flag. I like the idea but don't really want to have the I-boats discussion when I'm out with my family on the water.

It's kind of like running into someone from high school. You get all excited and say high and then quickly realize that you have nothing to say to that person except to ask about some other person you haven't seen since high school. Maybe I'm just socially awkward?

What gives you the idea that something that was a bad idea a year ago is suddenly a good idea???

It is less than 2% of the members that make 95% of the noise about this (and the calendar) with the idea that they speak for the other 98%. That is not the case.

I said I would buy a calender and I did, it is a very nice calender, if only 34 sold I can certainly understand that it would not happen again and the reason for the flag not happening either. I would like to have an iboats flag, I would buy one if it was available but I do understand why it is not.

This would fall under "Advertising Expense" something that iboats.com can justify if perhaps it is within their business interest.
In what media does iboats.com advertise?
