I understand that you have a major "pipe" into your location and that you are physically close to the to the CO, however you are located in Germany. iboats in the past has had connectivity issues with people overseas whether their in Australia or in the Netherlands (I think that was where KIZ was for a while - right?)
What kind of latency do you have when you try to ping 70.96.133.130?
When you tracert to forums.iboats.com, how many hops does it take to get to the destination? Are there any routers with horrible latency that could be slowing your connection time?
My point is, just because you have a gigantic pipe, doesn't mean that something between you and iboats could be slowing you down.
