iboats has a sale on OMC 4 stroke props......what?

My curiousity is at it again. Why do you have to have a special prop for 4's? I noticed a thread from Dhadley the other day that said that if you don't keep them at or over 6000 at WOT they'll load up fast.

Is there a 4 stroke message here that potential 4 stroke purchasers should know about?

I think its because they dont spool up as quick as a 2 stroke and dont have as much bottom torquethere also heaver so may need a prop with some stern lift too,but i dont know.

They're probably Suzuki props.

I run a Suki prop on my Johnson and so far is the best prop but still searching. I have a 5-6 sec. holeshot but have not yet vented it. I have not heard of any loading up and many are used for trolling? The props are not special for my 50 HP as the DT50,55 etc. are the same prop.
