How do you post these things after a comment and not on the thread title?

"Go Advanced".

You can click on Smileys down on the bottom left too. Or type in the code.
(In mine, Smilies are turned on. I assume it's the default. I didn't do anything to turn them on that I'm aware of. Maybe it's my aftershave? Or maybe it's up in User CP.) Just make sure the cursor is where you want the smiley to appear before selecting it.

Go to user CP,Then to edit options,scroll down to misc.edit options and set it to Enhanced...
